Right place for kids is school, not streets: J&K CM

-

JAMMU: Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has said the right place for children is educational institutes and not the ‘streets’. “I believe that skill and education can change the destiny of a nation. In all religions, education is considered most important. The real place of youth is in the IITs, schools, colleges, medical colleges and not on the streets,” the chief minister said.

“They (students) should be only concerned about their future and let the complex issues be resolved by the seniors,” she said, while addressing the gathering after inaugurating of the new block of Indira Gandhi Dental College Hospital in Jammu on Tuesday.

“Kids have to become doctors, engineers, dental surgeons, teachers but if they (youth) are misused on the streets for stone-pelting and taking out protest rallies, then I feel that in future we will have no doctors, engineers, teachers. Also, there won’t be any roads because at present, they are being dug in one part of the state (by protesters).”
