Congress alleges Sardar Sarovar scam in MP

The Congress on Wednesday alleged that a scam bigger than the multi-crore Vyapam recruitment scandal has surfaced in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh. Quoting the Justice Shravan Shankar Jha commission report, the party claimed that funds meant for relief and rehabilitation of more than 40,000 families affected by the Sardar Sarovar project had been misappropriated. The Jha commission was constituted by MP high court to inquire about fake land registries and other issues related to the oustees of the Sardar dam project.
