DGCA bans Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on flights

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has banned carriage of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on flights operated by Indian carriers after several incidents of the phone catching fire. The decision comes following a similar ban imposed by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) last week. Many Indian airlines like Vistara and Jet Airways had already banned the Note 7 on their flights.
