IAF Mi 17 chopper crash-lands in Chamoli

Fifteen crew members on board an Indian Air Force Mi 17 chopper had a narrow escape on Wednesday after the helicopter crash-landed during an exercise in Chamoli district.

According to the Uttarakhand police, the helicopter developed a technical snag between the Badrinath and Mana Pass valleys of Chamoli district at around 9.40 am. Despite the crash, the entire crew — all from the army’s 12 Grenadiers —were safe, though a few sustained minor injuries.
