POWER SUPPLY TO JAITO SDM’S OFFICE SNAPPED

FARIDKOT:: Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on Saturday snapped the power supply to the Jaito SDM office due to non-payment of bill. The SDM office owes Rs 3.44 lakh to the power supplier.

PSPCL sub-divisional officer Satvinder Singh said that other than the SDM office, power supply to water works of Rameana, Batta, Bishnandi, Chehna and Sedasinghwala villages has also been discontinued due to non-payment of bills. He said the authorities were yet to clear over Rs 20 lakh bill for streetlights.

The water supply department in Jaito owes more than Rs 45 lakh and other government departments Rs 68 lakh to the PSPCL. Officials said power supply of defaulters would be cut if bills were not paid soon.
