ROHTAK : Countering the claims of AIJASS chief Yashpal Malik about police bias against Jat protesters , the district police authorities have claimed that fair and unbiased probe was conducted with regard to the loot and arson cases in connection with last year’s February quota stir .

Malik had on Friday levelled allegations that different parameters were being adopted in dealing with cases registered against non-Jats and police showed leniency in booking them.

Countering specific examples cited by Malik, the police on Saturday refuted the allegations and said their doors were open for re-investigation cases wherein people felt any grievances.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR ‘BLACK DAY’

Meanwhile, the police and paramilitary forces have made elaborate arrangements to ensure the safety and security of the residents in view of the AIJASS’ ‘black day’ protest to be held on Sunday.

The local police authorities said the vehicles headed for the dharna site at Jassia village would not be allowed to enter Rohtak town.

Rohtak SP Pankaj Nain said adequate security personnel had been deployed around the statues of various leaders and eminent personalities, government buildings and other significant locations.
