Modi wasted a good comment

Karan Thapar in The Congress has lost its funny bone (Sunday Sentiments, February 19) is both right and wrong. He is right when he says that the party is quick to take offence to a jibe by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Thapar is wrong in giving examples from England to back his argument. The English, for the many flaws they have, know how to engage in a healthy repartee. It is a cultural thing, which in India we miss. In that sense, Modi is not at fault for his comment, but he has wasted it on the Congress. ALOK PANDEY, MEERUT
