WHILE INDIA LOOKED INWARDS, CHINA EXPANDED

-

India’s foreign policy and economic vision have never gone beyond the Himalayas, and this is its biggest handicap (Chanakya, February 19). While India, under Jawaharlal Nehru and leaders till IK Gujaral, looked inwards, neighbouring China, and even Sri Lanka, expanded their horizons and are today reaping the benefits. Narendra Modi has started efforts, but two years is not enough to evaluate his efforts. His policies to promote India at the global stage are promising, and hopefully results will be seen soon.
