Rohtak: 3 held for killing fatherson duo over ₹800

The district police on Tuesday arrested three men for killing a father-son duo by slitting their throats on May 14. The accused were identified as Sohan, Rohit and Sandeep, all in their 20s. Police said the fourth and prime accused in the case, identified as Rampal, committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train.

Rohtak SP Pankaj Nain said they had found bodies of Karor village residents Shri Bhagwan and his son Amit in agricultur­e fields near their tea shop on Delhi-Hisar outer bypass road in the district on the morning of May 15. Based on a complaint by Bhagwan’s other son, they had registered a case of murder.

Based on a tip-off, the CIA teams arrested the three accused from Jind Road.“Around a month ago, Rampal, an auto driver, had sold a speaker, memory card and a deck to Amit for ₹800, for which, Amit was delaying the payment. On May 14, Rampal along with his accomplice­s went to his tea shop and attacked him with bricks and rods. When his father intervened, they attacked him as well,” the SP said
