High court defers hearing to July 19

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana high court on Tuesday deferred hearing for July 19 on the petitions of Congress leader Motilal Vora and Associated Journals Limited (AJL), publisher of National Herald newspaper in which, they had sought n quashing of enforcement case investigation report (ECIR) registered by enforcement directorate into an industrial plot allotment to AJL in Panchkula.While deferring the hearing, chief justice SJ Vazifdar and justice Anupinder Singh Grewal observed that there appears no intention of prosecution agencies to arrest Vora since same had not been initiated by them till now. If required, the petitioner can file an application seeking stay of arrest. HTC
