Two held with pistols, cartridges

Police have arrested two miscreants, including a proclaimed offender, and seized two .32 bore pistols, six live cartridges and a car on Tuesday. The accused have been identified as Gaurav of Balmiki Colony (near Abadpura) and Kulwinder Singh of Model Town (Gurdaspur).

The CIA head Angrej Singh, accompanied by assistant sub-inspector Narinder Singh and his team, laid a trap at Nangal Shama Chowk and nabbed the accused when they were crossing the Chowk in a car. A case under Arms Act has been registered. Police said accused are facing many other criminal cases.
