The editorial, ‘In Kashmir, there is no magic bullet’ is a sharp reality, but then there continues a concern in the national media for the increasing casualties among people and security forces in mob violence encounters. The casualty among protesters and civilians caught in the crossfire is always a subject of TV discussion, but the world is hardly taking note of these events. Casualties among security forces receive little sympathy from the media. Positive work done by the army and the huge public response to army and police recruitments go without being highlighted in the media. A factual and balanced coverage can result in creating a positive perception in society. Dr BN Anand, SAS Nagar
