- HTC

CHANDIGARH: Rajneesh Garg, the aide-de-camp (ADC) to Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and Anup Kumar, a cook working at CM’s residence who was allegedly beaten up by the former on Friday, reached a compromise on Thursday afternoon.

The PWD class IV employees union president Tara Dutt said that Garg and Kumar had reached a compromise and the employees did not want any action against Garg.

He said that they were approached by Bhupeshwar Dayal, officer on special duty (OSD) to chief minister, when they were holding a protest at the MLA hostel, sector 3. Dayal called a delegation of employees to the CM residence where Garg and Kumar reached a compromise.

Dayal told HT that there was a minor misunderstanding between Garg and Kumar and it has been resolved. Kumar continues to work with Garg, he added.

“Hum dono ke beech jo galatfahami hui thi vo hamane dur kar li hai aur ab logon me koi man mutav nahi hai. Ab hum is mamale mein kisi prakar ki karvayi nahi chahte hain (There was a minor misunderstanding between us, which we have resolved. We don’t want any probe in this matter),” the compromise letter signed by both – Garg and Kumar, read.

A group of class IV employees had held a demonstrations outside Haryana MLAs’ hostel since Saturday alleging that Garg assaulted Kumar, over the issue of non- availability of bread.
