RAJIV GAUBA SET TO SUCCEED MEHRISHI AS HOME SECRETARY

NEW DELHI: Union urban development secretary Rajiv Gauba will be the next home secretary. The appointments committee of the Union cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday cleared his appointment. Gauba, a 1982-batch Jharkhand cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, will take over on August 30 when the current home secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi, superannuates after a fixed tenure of two years.
