Uncle, nephew die as roof caves in

At least two people were killed, including a child, and others injured after roof caved in at Sardarpura village near Abohar, a sub-division of Fazilka district, due to heavy downpour on Tuesday late night.

As per information, 35-yearold Paramjit Singh, his wife Paramjit Kaur (32), Abhishek (5), Pinki and Komal were sleeping in a room when at about 10.30pm, roof caved in, burying all under the debris.

While Paramjit Singh and Abhishek reportedly died on the spot, others sustained injuries and have been hospitalised. Police said bodies have been handed over to the families.
