Congress leader Tejpreet Singh Peter Sandhu lodged a complaint to senior superintendent of police (SSP) Harjit Singh, against senior Akali leader and former Khemkaran MLA Virsa Singh Valtoha for threatening DC and SHOs, Wednesday .

Taking note of the viral video in which Valtoha is seen threatening Tarn Taran DC and SHOs to face consequences, the SSP said, such threats created panic among society and strict action should be taken against him.

Peter Sandhu stated that such kind of activity could create anarchy as it will encourage the antisocial elements. “The police should take legal action against the Akali leader”, reads the complaint.A copy of the complaint has also been sent to Punjab chief minister, chief secretary, home secretary and DGP Suresh Arora with newspaper cuttings and video clipping. In the video, Valtoha is seen threatening Tarn Taran DC and station house officers with dire consequences for ‘harassing’ his party workers as well as using ‘objectionable’ words against them.

VALTOHA ACCUSES EX- CONG MINISTER OF ‘USURPING’ PENSION MONEY

SAD leader and former Khemkaran MLA Virsa Singh Valtoha alleged that the incumbent MLA Sukhpal Singh Bhullar, his father Gurchet Singh Bhullar and his unidentified close aide ‘usurped’ pension money. Valtoha said this while addressing a press conference on Wednesday.

He alleged that Bhullar family used to delay disbursement of pensions. “Smelling bungling of the pension money, I managed to get the call recordings of sarpanch of Abadi Baba Sodhi village falling in Bhikhiwind block with his unidentified aide and Gurchet Singh Bhulla, former cabinet minister of Punjab. Both the father and son did not allow the pension money to be delivered to beneficiaries,” he said.

Gurchet Singh Bhullar said the man whom Valtoha is referring to as a close aide is not close to their family. “I never called sarpanch of the village as he associated to SAD. There is no question of bungling of funds as I have always asked officers to deliver money at the earliest,” he added.
