KUMBLE’S SHOES WILL BE HARD TO FILL: SEHWAG
NEW DELHI: Anil Kumble’s resignation as India coach has placed several questions in front of India team. The most important one is who will be his successor? Out of the five names that have come up Virender Sehwag’s is the most high profile one. Asked about the next India coach, Sehwag said the next occupant will find it hard to replicate Kumble’s success. “I have never played under Kumble – the coach. However, he has been my senior, my captain. In fact my comeback in international cricket was under him. The India team’s performance under him has been phenomenal. Whoever comes in as his successor will find it hard to fill in his shoes,” Sehwag said in an interview.
