One PCS, seven IAS of­fi­cers trans­ferred

The Pun­jab gov­ern­ment on Thurs­day trans­ferred seven In­dian Ad­min­is­tra­tive Ser­vice (IAS) and one Pun­jab Civil Ser­vice (PCS) of­fi­cer with im­me­di­ate ef­fect.

Rakesh Ku­mar Verma has been posted as sec­re­tary, in­dus­tries and com­merce, and in ad­di­tion as sec­re­tary, in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy whereas Sumer Singh Gur­jar has been posted as com­mis­sioner, Faridkot divi­sion, and in ad­di­tion as sec­re­tary, Pun­jab State Com­mis­sion for Pro­tec­tion of Child Rights.

Sirra Karuna Raju will now be sec­re­tary, rev­enue and re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion, whereas Rahul Te­wari has been posted as sec­re­tary, home af­fairs, jus­tice and jails. Daljit Singh Man­gat will now be spe­cial sec­re­tary, plan­ning.

In a par­tial mod­i­fi­ca­tion of or­ders, Satish Chan­dra has been posted as ad­di­tional chief sec­re­tary, lo­cal gov­ern­ment and in ad­di­tion as prin­ci­pal res­i­dent com­mis­sioner, Pun­jab Bhawan, New Delhi. MP Singh has been posted as ad­di­tional chief sec­re­tary-cum-fi­nan­cial com­mis­sioner, de­vel­op­ment.

PCS of­fi­cer Ra­man Ku­mar Kochhar, will be as­sis­tant com­mis­sioner (gen­eral), Gur­daspur.
