A man, appearing to be a migrant labourer, was found murdered on the MullanpurJangpur road on Thursday evening. The killers had stuffed the body in a sack and dumped it on the roadside. Panic gripped the area after news about the incident spread.

The police came to know about it, when commuters noticed the body in the sack and informed them.

Inspector Jasvir Singh, SHO, Mullanpur Dakha police station, said that clothes, except undergarments, were removed from the body by the killers. The killers had also crammed a piece of cloth into his mouth.

He added that the deceased appeared to be in his 30’s. It is suspected the victim was killed somewhere else and the body was dumped here. The police have been trying to identify the deceased. He added it appeared a case of personal enmity. The police have registered a case of murder against unidentified accused.
