Gur­gaon to get med­i­cal col­lege named af­ter Sheetla Devi: CM

Chief min­is­ter Manohar Lal Khat­tar on Thurs­day said in Gur­gaon that a med­i­cal col­lege named af­ter god­dess Sheetla Devi would be set up in the city. He added that the con­struc­tion and man­age­ment of the col­lege would shared by the Mu­nic­i­pal Cor­po­ra­tion of Gu­ru­gram (MCG), the Gu­ru­gram Metropoli­tan De­vel­op­ment Author­ity (GMDA) and the Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board, which runs the Sheetla Mata tem­ple in the city.

He also said that work on the project will be ini­ti­ated as soon as land is iden­ti­fied for the med­i­cal col­lege. Of the to­tal cost of the project, the MCG will bear 40%, the GMDA 40%, and the shrine board 20%, he added.

Khat­tar made the an­nounce­ment while at­tend­ing the ‘Harit Gu­ru­gram - Ek Prayas 2017’ pro­gramme in Sec­tor 52. He also launched a plan­ta­tion drive by plant­ing saplings.
