Gurgaon to get medical college named after Sheetla Devi: CM

Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday said in Gurgaon that a medical college named after goddess Sheetla Devi would be set up in the city. He added that the constructi­on and management of the college would shared by the Municipal Corporatio­n of Gurugram (MCG), the Gurugram Metropolit­an Developmen­t Authority (GMDA) and the Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board, which runs the Sheetla Mata temple in the city.

He also said that work on the project will be initiated as soon as land is identified for the medical college. Of the total cost of the project, the MCG will bear 40%, the GMDA 40%, and the shrine board 20%, he added.

Khattar made the announceme­nt while attending the ‘Harit Gurugram - Ek Prayas 2017’ programme in Sector 52. He also launched a plantation drive by planting saplings.
