THREE DROWN IN RAINWATER IN KAITHAL

Three people, including two children, died on Thursday after they fell off a railway bridge on the Kaithal-Kurukshetra section near Sollumajra village in the district and drowned in rainwater.

The victims have been identified as Jarnail Singh of Kheri Rai Wali village, his nephew Naveen, 12, and Akashdeep, 14, of Dedna village of Patiala district.

Dhand police station in-charge Suresh Kumar reached the spot after the incident. The bodies were recovered and sent for postmortem. Akashdeep had come to his maternal grandfather’s house in Kheri Rai Wali to spend his summer vacations.
