Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus spread over 98 acres lush green state-of-the-art campus situated on FerozepurMoga National Highway, Distt. Ferozepur. The college was established and promoted by the Government of Punjab in 1995 as a tribute to the great martyr Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus is a multifaculty co-educational premium institution of north India, recognized by All India Council of Technical Education, Council of Architecture and National Assessment and Accreditation Council . The courses are duly accredited by National Board of Accreditation. It provides excellent technical and management courses at diploma, degree and postgraduate level . The basic aim of the campus is to provide integrated quality education, besides character building and shaping the career of the students so that they excel in all walks of life. The institute, ever since inception, has been continuously striving for excellence in all areas. The infrastructural developments have been in step with the state-of-the-art requirements. Many students have excelled in national level competitive examinations scoring high marks. The increasing number of the students are placed in well renowned national and multi-national companies. Various programmes offered by campus are well organized to provide a wide spectrum of choices to the students. These courses are designed to provide the necessary theoretical background and practical experience in engineering and technology so as to meet the growing manpower requirements. Central library Central library of the Technical Campus has an adequate number of books to meet the present requirements of the students and staff in the subjects and fields of the ongoing courses. Around 16,000 textbooks and reference books have been procured in various streams of science, engineering, management & humanities. It has subscribed various magazines and journals both online and print. The library of the campus aims to facilitate academic & research activities of the faculty & students by providing timely information & resource through cost effective means. Computer Centre The Technical Campus has an ergonomically designed, well equipped and centrally air-conditioned Computer Centre. The Computer Centre has state of the art 135 terminals connected with latest servers, through optical fiber backbone. The high speed dedicated internet bandwidth is distributed to all 800 terminals available in the campus besides. The computer center also centrally provides Wi-Fi connectivity in the whole campus and hostels. Central Workshop The Central Workshops of the Technical Campus comprise of Nine (09) shops. All the shops are well equipped with latest machines and tools. It is being used for imparting practical training to students on basic manufacturing processes and also used for fabricating minor & major projects for students and other development works as side activities. Boys and girls Hostel The Technical Campus has four boys and two girls hostel. Each hostel has a TV room with cable connection, a guest room, a room for in-door games and a recreation-cumreading room, a running cooperative mess. Students themselves ensure the quality of the food served, decide the menu and manage all the matters. Beautifully landscaped lawns are developed in front of each hostel providing students eye-soothing and refreshing surroundings Play Grounds : Sports serves as a very good means of recreation for the budding engineers, who are increasingly prone to psychological stress of intensive technical training. The Campus has vast lush green play-fields irrigated by sprinkle water system. There are various playgrounds such as 400 meter, athletic track, hockey ground, basketball ground volleyball, lawn tennis and badminton, besides Olympic sized football ground. The Technical Campus has started fitness centre in the campus as well as in the boys & girls hostel. Students : Students of SBSSTC have touched great heights at national and international levels. In addition to study of the prescribed curriculum, students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular, social, religious and environmental activities. Apart from imparting conventional technical education, emphasis is laid on cocurricular activities such as seminars, workshops, debates, conferences to prepare student for the highly competitive job environment. Professionals from industry are invited to deliver expert lectures & industry-institute meets are regularly arranged. Laboratories Each department in the college has well equipped wellequipped laboratories and has prepared Work-Manuals for laboratory work. Various Audio-Visual aids are being used to make the teaching learning process more effective. For providing consultancy and testing services to industry, the departmental workshops and laboratories are fully equipped with latest and sophisticated equipment and machinery. Department of Training & Placement: The college has highly experienced and dedicated staff, which trains the students for better placements. The Department of Training & Placement at Shaheed Bhagat Singh state technical Campus is committed to bridge the academic-industry gap for producing industry-ready engineers to meet today and tomorrow's needs. Around 65% of the eligible students have been placed through on-campus and off-campus placement drives in last 5 years in top MNCs such as Infosys, Accenture, KPMG, TCS, WIPRO, HCL, DSM Sinochem, Nestle, Sonalika Tractors, MAX India, Cognizant, Capgemini, Escorts, IBM, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, EMICON, Pompeii Technologies, VVDN, HP etc.
