Jordan misses from the spot, Reds pay penalty
MUNICH: Jordan Henderson’s missed penalty proved decisive as Atletico Madrid beat Liverpool FC in a shoot-out to win the Audi Cup.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had impressed in beating Bayern Munich 3-0, while Atletico Madrid came from behind to see off Napoli 2-1 in the semifinals.
Both teams rung the changes for the finale of the exhibition tournament, resulting in a predictably disjointed contest at the Allianz Arena. Keidi Bare gave Atletico the lead with a first-half header, which had looked set to be enough prior to Roberto Firmino’s 83rd-minute spot-kick.

NEW YORK: A snowshoe racer from India who competed last weekend at the World Snowshoe Championships here after initially struggling to obtain a visa is accused of sexually abusing a local girl. In a statement , police said the charges stem from 24-year-old Tanveer Hussain “engaging in a passionate kiss” with a 12-year-old victim. There is no accusation of force, and no other allegations were made.
