PANCHKULA: After Aditya Insaan, another close aide of rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim is in trouble. Haryana Police have sent teams to find and arrest dera sacha sauda chief’s adopted daughter, Honeypreet, after her name figured in investigation for allegedly inciting violence in Panchkula on August 25.

“Dera’s local coordinator Surender Dhiman, who has been charged with sedition — along with Aditya Insan — revealed her name following his arrest on Thursday that set the process for taking her in to custody,” a senior officer with the Panchkula police said.

Panchkula police commissioner AS Chawla said her name figured during interrogation, following which her custody is required so that charges can be corroborated.

“A look-out notice has been issued to sound alert in all airports and international border posts so that she does not escape the country. A similar notice has also been issued for Aditya Insan,” Chawla added.

A look-out notice generally entails vigil at airports and land border posts.

On whether a case was made out against her, an officer said, “She will not be booked in a separate FIR. The existing FIR in which Dhiman and Aditya Insan are booked will be used to register a case against her. She will be booked for criminal conspiracy (120-B of the IPC) and sedition.”

PRESENT INSIDE COURT COMPLEX

She was present inside the Panchkula court complex, along with the dera chief, when his conviction was announced. Offi- cials said she was in touch with dera’s key men outside when clashes broke out between dera followers and security forces. Her involvement is also not ruled out in the conspiracy for Baba’s escape bid when his security guards attacked a police vehicle that was taking dera chief to the command area to fly him to Rohtak jail in special chopper. She was also present in that vehicle.

WENT MISSING FROM ROHTAK

Honeypreet, said to be in her thirties, had gone into hiding, soon after accompanying the Dera chief on a chopper to the Rohtak jail where he is lodged after his sentencing.

Sources said that dressed in double check attire, she was last seen outside Rohtak’s Sunaria Jail. Here, she left the premises in a car with two men. A section of the media reported that she had crossed the Nepal border, something the police are not confirming. A photograph of her sitting in the chopper with Gurmeet Singh had gone viral.

This has led to a question on who allowed her to travel with the Baba, after his conviction when the court had not passed any directions.

NO ANSWERS TO WHY SHE WAS ALLOWED TO BOARD BABA’S CHOPPER?

Even as the police now claim that she was in touch with dera leaders in Panchkula on Auguts 25, it remains unclear as to why she was allowed to board the helicopter that took the Baba to Rohtak jail. After the conviction, it was the police’s resposibility to him to jail as per rules.

BABA’S CLOSE AIDE, SURENDER DHIMAN, NAMES HER AS ONE OF THE INDIVIDUALS IN TOUCH WITH DERA’S KEY MEN OUTSIDE WHEN CLASHES BROKE OUT BETWEEN DERA FOLLOWERS AND SECURITY FORCES IN PANCHKULA ON AUGUST 25; SHE WENT MISSING FROM OUTSIDE ROHTAK JAIL EVERSINCE
