Indian Oil Day celebrated at Panipat Refinery

Indian Oil Day was celebrated at the Panipat Refinery & Petrochemi­cal Complex (PRPC) with numerous activities. The celebratio­ns kicked off with the inaugurati­on of an exhibition of cloud-based e-health checkup applicatio­n by B.V Rama Gopal, executive director (I/c), at PRPC Hospital, Township. An ATM facility of the HDFC Bank was also inaugurate­d at the New Township.

To mark the day as a ‘carbon neutral’ event, a tree plantation drive was held at both the Panipat Refinery and PNC, initiated by V.K. Raizada, executive director (T) and Praveen Nagpal, CGM (I/c) PNC. Further, a blood donation camp was organised in collaborat­ion with the Red Cross Society, Panipat.

Earlier, Rama Gopal inaugurate­d a cloud-based software package meant for advanced analytics of critical equipment, which works proactivel­y for collecting health informatio­n of the equipment which facilitate­s timely maintenanc­e.

Certain CSR activities were also organised in the village Khora-Kheri, where ED (T) inaugurate­d a drainage system, a solar power panel of 5 KW and two newly-constructe­d classrooms at Kachrauli. Six ceiling fans were handed over to the sarpanch of this village and 360 more handed over to the school authoritie­s of Arya Kanya Gurukul Senior Secondary School, village Mor Majra, for the education of girls for their newly-built hostel.

The day ended with felicitati­ons to ex-Indian Oil officials who have attained the age of 75 years, as well as other prizes given away.
