DATTATREYA MAY BE CHAIRPERSO­N OF PARL PANEL

Former labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya and BJP’s Vishakhapa­tanam MP K Hari Babu are likely to be inducted as chairperso­ns of parliament­ary standing committees during the latest reconstitu­tion of these panels. Dattatreya, who was dropped from the Union council of ministers in the reshuffle earlier this month, may be given a new post to reward his experience.

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government on Friday reallocate­d districts to ministers, as chairperso­ns of district public relations and grievances committees.

An official spokesman said the monthly meetings of the committee of district Gurugram will now be presided over by chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and education minister Ram Bilas harma.

Finance minister Capt Abhimanyu and agricultur­e minister OP Dhankar will preside over the monthly meetings of committees in Bhiwani, Jind and, Rohtak and Dadri districts, respective­ly.

Health minister Anil Vij, public works (buildings and roads) minister Rao Narbir Singh, urban local bodies minister Kavita Jain, transport minister Krishan Lal Panwar and industries minister Vipul Goel will preside over the monthly meetings of Kaithal and Panipat, Jhajjar and Rewari, Panchkula and Yamunanaga­r, Sonepat and Ambala, and Mahendraga­rh and Palwal districts, respective­ly.
