Look­ing for Honeypreet, cops raid six places in Ra­jasthan

BIKANER: The Haryana po­lice has un­suc­cess­fully raided six lo­ca­tions in Ra­jasthan search­ing for Honeypreet In­san, the adopted daugh­ter of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, in the last two days.

A team of of­fi­cers from Panchkula’s Sec­tor-3 po­lice sta­tion raided lo­ca­tions in Pilibanga, Lunkarnsar, Sri Kolayat, Jamsar, Jagdewala and Gurusar Modiya, but to no avail, a po­lice of­fi­cer said.

The search team com­prised deputy su­per­in­ten­dent of po­lice (DSP) Mukesh Mal­ho­tra, cir­cle in­spec­tor Aman Ku­mar, sub-in­spec­tor Naresh and some women of­fi­cers. They were as­sisted by the lo­cal po­lice. Gurusar Modiya in Sri­g­an­ngana­gar dis­trict is the na­tive place of Ram Rahim.

“We have ar­rested Dera chief’s aide Rakesh Ku­mar from Sirsa in Haryana who re­vealed that Ram Ra­heem has an ashram in Bikaner dis­trict. A team of the Haryana po­lice with the help of the lo­cal po­lice, raided the sus­pected Dera hide­outs in Bikaner,” Mal­ho­tra said.

Bikaner su­per­in­ten­dent of po­lice (SP) Swai Singh Go­dara also con­firmed the de­vel­op­ment and said the joint search op­er­a­tion did not yield any suc­cess.
