‘CLEAN WATER TO FLOW SOON IN GHAGGAR’

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said clean water will soon flow into the Ghaggar passing through the state as the sewage treatment plants (STPs) installed in major townships along the river are expected to be made fully functional by next year.

“Though Haryana has no river which exclusively flows from the state, various steps have been taken to ensure that clean water flow into the rivers,” he said in his address at the ‘Rally for Rivers’ programme.

He said that STPs have also been installed for the cleanliness of Yamuna River and also to check the filthy water entering into the river.
