21 IAS officers shifted

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government has reshuffled at least 21 IAS and 14 PCS officers with immediate effect.

Karan Bir Singh Sidhu is new special chief secretary, social security and developmen­t of women and children, having been shifted from his previous posting as special chief secretary, revenue and rehabilita­tion. Vini Mahajan, additional chief secretary, housing and urban developmen­t has been given additional charge of revenue and rehabilita­tion.

Anirudh Tiwari has been relieved as additional principal secretary, investment promotion, but continues to hold his other charges.

A Venuprasad has been given the charge of principal secretary, irrigation, in addition to his present duties.

Rakesh Kumar Verma, has been given the additional post of the CEO of Punjab Bureau of Investment.

After being relieved from the charge of addition secretary, expenditur­e, Vikas Pratap, who is secretary, medical education and research, has been made PUNCOM managing director.

DK Tiwari is now secretary, expenditur­e, and is also the MD of Punjab Infrastruc­ture Developmen­t Board and chairman of the Punjab Pollution Control Board.

Dipinder Singh will now be secretary, revenue and rehabilita­tion, in addition to his current duties as commission, gurdwara elections.

Rajat Aggarwal will hold charge of MD, Punjab Small Industries Export Corporatio­n, and additional CEO Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion.

Abhinav has been given the charge of MD, Punjab State Warehousin­g Corporatio­n; director, treasury and special secretary, expenditur­e.

Praveen Kumar Thind will hold independen­t charge of special secretary-cum-director, technical education and industrial training.

Probationa­ry IAS officers including Abhijeet Kaplish, Aditya Uppal, Paramvir Singh, Sandeep Kumar and Palavi have been given charges as subdivisio­nal magistrate­s in several cities of the state.
