Sour Sino-India relations delaying Chinese investment in state: CM
ROHTAK :Ups and downs in IndiaChina relations have affected investment from the neighbouring country in Haryana, chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Monday.
Khattar said this while talking to mediapersons in Jhajjar on the completion of three years of the BJP government in the state.
He said China’s Wanda Group had to invest thousands of crores of rupees to build an industrial park and entertainment zone along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway in Sonepat’s Kharkhoda but the project has not seen the light of day.
Khattar said that the work on KMP expressway could have been completed much earlier, but the matter was referred to the Supreme Court due to the obstacles created by the previous government.
“The BJP government has ensured an early hearing in the apex court as a result of which the Manesar-Palwal stretch of the expressway has been completed and the remaining Kundli-Manesar section is likely to be completed by the end of this year,” he said.
He said that after the completion of KMP expressway, the vehicles going from Northern India to Western and Southern part of the country would be able to pass through without entering into Delhi, which would reduce the pollution level in the capital.
He said out of 146 announcements made for Jhajjar, 54 are pending, whereas the remaining are either completed or are in progress.
About the recent cattle fair organised in the district, he said the main aim of organising such event was to create awareness among the cattle rearers so that they could rear cattle of good breed and get benefitted.
