Congress govt in HP is neck deep in corruption: Yogi
DHARAMSHALA: Launching a scathing attack on the Virbhadra Singh-led government, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that “mafia” was an Italian word and “it fits the Congress regime in Himachal”.
Yogi Adityanath was at Nagrota Bagwan assembly segment to address a rally in favour of BJP candidate Arun Mehra, who is pitted against four-time legislator and minister GS Bali.
The UP chief minister said that had there been a BJP government in Himachal, the state would have scaled new heights on the developmental front.
“The current Congress regime in Himachal is neck deep in corruption while the mining mafia, forest mafia and drug mafia are ruling the roosts,” alleged Yogi. He said the Congress government in Himachal has spoilt the young generation by promoting the drug mafia.
“Similarly at the nationallevel, the corrupt UPA rule hollowed out the country with scams,” the head priest of Gorkhnath Math said.
Yogi further said the current government at the Centre which is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has built India’s reputation as a powerful country in just three years of rule. “India has developed cordial diplomatic relations with most countries of the world under Modi rule,” said Yogi. Accusing the Congress regime of failing to utilise the central grants, Yogi said, PM Modiled government launched various welfare schemes in three years but Himachal government did not implement them.
