Gosain murder case: Police release suspect’s sketch
LUDHIANA: Having failed to trace the killers of RSS leader Ravinder Gosain, the police have released a sketch of a suspect and also announced a cash reward of ₹5 lakh for providing information leading to the arrest of the guilty. In CCTV footage, the suspect was seen wandering around Dholewal on October 10 from where the motorcycle used by the killers was stolen.
The police feel the suspect is either one of the assailants who gunned down Gosain, or he helped the assailants in getting the motorcycle.
Cops said the suspect, who is tall and slim with trimmed beard, was wearing a turban when he was seen near D ho lew al on October 10.
Assistant commissioner of police ( ACP- east) Pawanjit Singh, said the police have scanned all CCTV cameras installed in the area. The police have zeroed in on the suspect, who might have stolen they ellow Honda Stunner bike that was used in crime.
Earlier, the police had announced a cash reward of Rs 50 lakh and a police job for providing information about killers in the case. However, CM Captain Amarinder Singh had later transferred the investigation to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
RSS leader Ravindra Gosain was shot dead outside his residence in Gagandeep Colony of B as ti Jod he w al area in Ludhiana on October 17 by two masked assailants. The motorcycle used was found abandoned near Ladhowal on October 18.
