FIR registered against two DMRC officers in Faridabad
FARIDABAD: A case been registered against two senior officers of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) after death of an undertraining electrician in Faridabad. The Surajkund police, under whose jurisdiction the FIR in the case has been registered, has started investigation into the matter.
On the complaint of one Hari Singh, father of 22-year-old electrician Anish Kumar of village Bukhara district Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan, Surajkund police registered case under section 304A and 34 IPC against DMRC general manager Vivek Aggarwal and assistant general manager Pankaj Gupta.
In the complaint, Singh alleged that his son Anish was appointed as electrician in DMRC and was to under-go training for six months, but was posted at receiving sub-station (RSS) after getting training for just 20-25 days. Anish was electrocuted a few days ago.
“On the basis of the complaint we registered case against the two DMRC officers and the investigation has started”, SHO Surajkund Pankaj Kumar said.
“Anish Kumar, who was accidentally electrocuted during maintenance work on the intervening night of October 28/29 at Faridabad receiving sub station, succumbed to his injuries at Ganga Ram Hospital on November 2, 2017,” DMRC spokesman said.
“The deceased joined DMRC as a maintainer in 2017. Presently, he was undertaking on-the-job training at Faridabad RSS when the incident happened. Prima facie, he touched the high tension charges wire leading to electrocution. A detailed investigation by electrical inspector general is underway to establish the actual sequence of events leading to this unfortunate loss of life”, the spokesman said.
