THE IRREVERSIBLE RISE OF INDIA

-

AT HOME IN THE WORLD

A strong economy, a stable polity and a firm grip on foreign policy and in international relations are burnishing the notion of how we see ourselves, and how others see us

Atrajectory always has a story to tell. And India’s trajectory, at this moment, is incontrovertibly on an upward path.

The past few months have seen an injection of buoyancy in the discourse surrounding our country. A set of historic tax reforms the benefits of which are beginning to be seen; a demonstrably better performance in the ease-of-doing-business rankings; and a heartening upgrade from a reputable ratings agency: these are just some of the things that bear out the story of a rising India.

A strong economy, a stable polity and a firm grip on foreign policy and in international relations are burnishing the notion of how we see ourselves, and how others see us. More and more, India is at home in the world. There has never been a better time to talk about all this.

Over the next two days, the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit will bring together elite leaders from across the world to analyse the challenges that India, as a country on the ascendant, faces, as well as discuss how best to deal with them. This is a conversation that is of utmost urgency and importance. Please join us, on our pages, online, and on social media.
