SAYS WILL START CAMPAIGN FROM DECEMBER END TO GATHER SUPPORT FOR THEIR NEXT ROUND OF AGITATION

ROHTAK :The All India Jat Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) on Sunday demanded the government to sack finance minister Captain Abhimanyu, saying that he was ‘misusing his powers as a minister and owner of media houses.’

At a meeting of the AIJASS core committee here on Sunday, its chief Yashpal Malik passed eight resolutions that also asked government to fulfil their pending demand of Jat reservation or face protests.

The AIJASS said they will start campaigns from December end by going to villages to gather support for their next round of agitation. Malik said that by January end, they will announce dates for when Jats will take tractors trolleys to choke the national capital.

“Captain Abhimanyu has misused his powers to push innocent youths behind bars. His newspaper and TV channel propagate biased agenda to divide people,” Malik said.

Abhimayu, during his recent trip to Rohtak, had refused to comment on anything that Yashpal Malik said about him.

The Jat leaders further asked the government to quickly conduct surveys as per the directions of the Punjab and Haryana high court to determine the share of quota that can be given to the Jat community in Haryana. “The government must submit its report by December 31, so our community can get the advantage of quota in admissions and jobs,” said Malik.

Meanwhile, the Jat leader said they started construction of the education-cum-skill centre being built for the Jat community in Rohtak’s Jassia village on Sunday.
