Y’nagar: Teacher held for sodomising 12yrold

YAMUNANAGARI: Police have arrested a teacher of a Rewari school for allegedly sodomising his 12-year- old student during a sports camp . The police said the teacher has been booked under the Prevention of Children From Sexual Offences Act and Sections 377.

YAMUNANAGAR : : Police have arrested a teacher of a Rewari private school for allegedly sodomising his 12-year- old student during a sports camp at Radaur of Yamunanagar district.

The police said the victim’s family filed a complaint in Rewari alleging that the teacher, Nitin Kumar, a resident of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, had allegedly sodomised his student of Holy Child Public School, Rewari, on November 7 when they had come to participate in a sports event at a Raduar private school.

“Working on the zero FIR we received from the Rewari police, we arrested the accused from the school on Friday and he will be produced in court,” Radaur police station in-charge Gurmel Singh told Hindustan Times.

He said the victim’s family members in the complaint have alleged that the teacher sodomised the boy in night as the accused was also sleeping with students at the school.

The child could not tell about this to his family at that time but later he disclosed the incident to them and they decided to file a police complaint.

The police said the teacher has been booked under the Prevention of Children From Sexual Offences Act and Sections 377 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
