Had shot dead the three children of his cousin in Morni hills
KURUKSHETRA: The main accused in the murder of three siblings of Sarsa village, Jagdeep Malik, 26, allegedly committed suicide in the Kurukshetra district jail by hanging himself with a scarf in the toilet on late Thursday evening. The reasons behind the suicide has not been ascertained yet.talking to Hindustan Times, Kurukshetra superintendent of police Abhishek Garg said, “The body of Jagdeep was found in the jail. Sarsa village Sarpanch Karambir said, “We have just received a message from officials that he was found hanging in the toilet of the jail.”

The reason behind the suicide has not been ascertained yet. talking to Hindustan Times, Kurukshetra superintendent of police Abhishek Garg said, “Yes the body of Jagdeep was found in the jail and investigation is going on to find out the reason.”
When contacted Sarsa village Sarpanch Karambir said, “We have just received a message from the jail officials that he was found hanging in the toilet of the jail. We will reach Kurukshetra to claim his body on Friday.”
It is pertinent to mention here that Jagdeep had admitted to killing the three children of his cousin Sonu Malik.
Jagdeep had led the police and villagers to the crime spot where the bodies of Sameer, 11, Simran, 8, and Samar, 4, were found from Morni hills in Panchkula on November 21 two days after they went missing.
The autopsy report found that all the three children were shot in the face, and the bullets were fired at their forehead.
Police was investigating to find out the involvement of the children’s father in the murder, as Jagdeep had earlier told the police that he had killed the children in connivance with Sonu, who was having an extramarital affair and wanted to get rid of the children so that he could marry his paramour. Later, he claimed that it was due to property. Recently, the children’s mother, Sunita Malik, along with the residents of Sarsa village had met chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar accusing the Kurukshetra police of shoddy probe.
The chief minister had formed a special investigation team in the case under the supervision of Inspector General of Police (Karnal Range) Subhash Yadav and Karnal SP Jashandeep Randhawa was leading the SIT.
The SIT had recorded the statements of all family members and also applied for polygraph test of Sonu Malik and Jagdeep’s wife Reena Malik. Whereas, Jagdeep was in police custody since November 21 last year and after six day police remand he was sent to judicial custody.
HAD EARLIER TOLD COPS THAT HE HAD KILLED THE CHILDREN IN CONNIVANCE WITH THEIR FATHER; LATER, HE KEPT CHANGING HIS STATEMENTS
