GITA SAYS YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW: HARYANA CM
ROHTAK:HARYANA chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday took a dig at former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda over the chargesheet filed against him by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Manesar land scam.
“Gita ka hai yahi sreshta gyaan..jaisi jiski karni, bhagwan deta hai usko vasa hi vardaan (Gita, the holy book of knowledge and wisdom, says you reap what you sow),” said Khattar, who was in Rohtak on Sunday to inaugurate the city’s first Raahgiri day.
Replying to Hooda’s remark that the CBI chargesheet was a political vendetta of the government, Khattar said, “We have no role in it. CBI had registered the case. It has filed the chargesheet, not us. Obviously, the CBI has some solid evidence in hand that is why it has filed the chargesheet.”
The CM said all guilty will be adequately punished once investigation was completed.
“Those accused (Hooda) who earlier dared us to investigate them are now crying vendetta when the CBI has moved into the matter. They should be aware that they will be punished if investigation ascertains their role in the scam,” he said.
Earlier, the CM applauded the initiative of Raahgiri Day and announced a grant of ₹5 lakh per year to those districts who were organising this event. The event attracted thousands of residents, including school students, who turned up to enjoy the cultural events and exhibitions.
In reply to the opposition’s allegations that a large amount was spent on Saraswati Mohotsav and Gita Jayanti, Khattar said that the opposition never realised their importance.
“Values taught by Saraswati and Gita in history are of great importance in the building of a society. But the opposition parties never thought this way. We are doing many things that are required in bringing social changes,” he said
