Six injured as under construction building collapses in Bathinda
BATHINDA: At least six persons, including two women, were injured when an under construction building collapsed in Arjun Nagar here on Sunday.
The incident took place at 10.30am when the construction work for a godown of a biscuit company was on. A portion of the roof and walls collapsed. The trapped workers were rescued by the police, co-workers and voluntary organisations.
Injured have been identified as Kesari, Kalpna, Rakesh, Ram Avtar, Jagsir Singh and and Kabir Singh. Local station house officer Davinder Singh said injured have been admitted in a hospital and a probe is on. He said they will check about the status of the building from the civic body and act accordingly.
