Haryana approves policy for plotted commercial colonies
CHANDIGARH: The Haryana cabinet on Tuesday approved a policy for grant of licence for plotted commercial colonies in commercial and residential zones in all development plans, except Gurugram Manesar Urban Complex.
An official spokesperson said that as per the policy, the maximum saleable area will be 35% on which 100% ground coverage as per Haryana Building Code 2017 will be permitted.
The remaining 65% area will be kept for parking, open space and provision of services, the spokesman added.
APPOINTMENT OF GROUP D POSTS
The cabinet also approved a draft of the Haryana Group D Servants (Conditions of Service) Bill, 2018. The spokesperson said the Bill has been necessitated because at present the selection and appointments of Group D posts were governed by the service rules of the departments concerned.
Various departments have framed different criteria for age and educational qualifications of Group D posts which caused inconvenience and financial burden on the candidates, especially those belonging to backward categories.
The new Bill ensures common minimum age and educational qualifications as well as transparency in selection of candidates. Also, the government will do away with the interview in case of Group D posts. It decided to issue guidelines regarding necessary amendments in the ongoing recruitment for Group C and D posts by the Staff Selection Commission.
AMENDMENT TO POLICE RULES
The Cabinet also approved an amendment (Rule 12.16 of the Punjab Police Rules) for introducing additional qualification for direct recruitment of constables and SIS and abolish the interviews.
