Alumni take a walk down memory lane at Khalsa College global meet
AMRITSAR: THE Khalsa College held its third global alumni meet here on Monday where old students recalled their ’memories’ at their alma mater of their student years. All of them were seen jostling, exchanging hugs and handshakes with another and talked about the time spent on the campus after a gap of number of years.
The meet, dedicated to the 126th foundation anniversary of the college, which was established in 1892, has its alumni settled across the world. They started pouring in from morning and were welcomed at the college by the management, principal and the staff.
The students of the college presented a cultural programme during which they enthralled the audience with folk songs, traditional orchestra and a ‘jhoomar’ dance. Khalsa College governing council (KCGC) president Satyajit Singh Majithia said it was a matter of proud that the alumni of the college were spread world over and they have achieved heights in their careers after getting degrees from this institution in various disciplines.
