SCOLDED BY FATHER, BATALA YOUTH ENDS LIFE

BATALA : A 25-year-old youth reportedly committed suicide by shooting himself with a countrymade revolver after he was scolded by his father at the Christian colony here on Monday morning. Investigation officer assistant sub-inspector Harpal Singh said the deceased, Shemsher Singh, was a drug addict. On Sunday night, he had a dispute with his friend, following which his father Baldev Singh scolded him . “On Monday morning, he shot himself from a point-blank range after locking himself in a room. He was rushed to a local civil hospital, where he was declared brought dead,” he said, adding that a case has been registered.
