GURGAON: A 22-year old woman, who worked as a nurse at a private hospital in Pataudi, was allegedly stabbed to death by three youths of her village in Farrukhnagar on Monday evening. A case was filed at Farrukhnagar police station against the accused under sections 302, 34 of the IPC and the Arms Act. The three accused have been identified as Devender alias Devi, Surender alias Monu and Charan Singh alias Titu. They are brothers and residents of Faridpur. It was alleged that one of the youth had been stalking the victim, Surekha, and wanted her to be friends with him. However, she refused.

The case was registered on the complaint of the victim’s father Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Faridpur village. He told police that Surekha worked as a nurse at a private hospital.

On Monday evening, the woman was on her way to her village when three youths confronted her in Faridpur, her father told police. He alleged that two of the accused caught Surekha’s arms and pinned her whereas the third attacked her with a sharp weapon.

As the woman collapsed, three-four persons, including one of the attackers, put her in a Scorpio and started off for the Civil Hospital, her father told police. As the woman’s condition deteriorated, the accused dumped her at Sohna Chowk along with the others on the pretext that the vehicle had run out of fuel, her father said.

Although the others took her to the hospital in an autorickshaw, she was pronounced dead on arrival, he said.

“I suspect the attack was a fallout of an old enmity. I demand strong action against the culprits,” the father said.

“Facts are being verified and the accused will be arrested soon,” Karan Singh, SHO, Farrukhnagar, said.
