Cabinet clears CAG reports for presentation in assembly
CHANDIGARH: The council of ministers on Wednesday cleared the presentation of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) reports, finance accounts and appropriation accounts for the financial year ending March 31, 2017, in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. This decision was taken during a meeting presided over by chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh at the Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday evening. A spokesperson of the CM’S office said that as per provisions contained in Clause 2 of Article-151 of the Constitution of India, the aforesaid documents and reports are mandatory to be tabled in the assembly during the current budget session.
