Speaker Rana KP Singh praised Akali leader and former finance minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa for his eloquence. When Dhindsa griped that time allocated to his party was inadequate, the speaker said he need not worry. “You have been allotted 48 minutes. You speak very well. I am sure you will be able to put across views within the given time,” he added. Earlier, Dhindsa complained that MLAS of SAD were not allowed to use the entry gates that are used by ruling party MLAS. But the speaker said, “It’s a dastoor (practice) for many years!”
