60YROLD HELD FOR MOLESTING MINOR GIRL

KARNAL: A 600-year-old man was arrested by the Karnal police for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl in Haibatpur village of Karnal district. The accused has been identified as Roshan Lal of the said village. “The accused had molested the girl when she was alone in her house on Tuesday. The family members of the girl, after they returned, caught him alongside the victim. Later, they reported the matter to the police,” a police spokesperson said. Butana police station in-charge Vikrant Singh said that the accused has been arrested under Section 8 (punishment for sexual assault) of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act. He will be produced in court shortly, Singh added.
