Four killed after car falls into gorge near Shimla
SHIMLA:FOUR people were killed in a road accident at Kayana near Shimla town as a car rolled down a gorge .
A car bearing registration number HP 63- 6116 carrying nine passengers, all locals, was on its way to Shimla when the mishap took place. Four persons who died on the spot were identified as Devender Kumar, 30, Hemant Kumar, 4, Gayatri Devi, 35, and Poonam Devi, 33.
Those injured were injured and have been admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC). Senior medical superintendent of the hospital, Ramesh Chand, said, “They are still under observation and nothing can be said as to their recovery, so far.”
Shimla SP Omapati Jamwal said, “It is yet to be ascertained whether the mishap was indeed an accident.”
