Fiveyearold falls from 5th floor balcony, killed

GHAZIABAD: In yet another such incident in Ghaziabad, a fiveyear-old boy died after allegedly falling from the balcony of his fifth floor flat at Raj Nagar Extension on Wednesday evening.

The boy was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Three similar incidents have been reported in Ghaziabad in past one month where two minors died.

In the latest incident, the boy, Rudransh, a nursery class student, was riding a bicycle on the balcony of his flat at KW Srishti high rise around 6 pm when the incident happened.

“The balcony is of the same height as the bicycle. It is suspected that he slipped off the balcony while playing. The sequence of events is not clear at present. He was rushed to a hospital by his family but died. All the family members were inside the flat while the child was playing in the balcony,” said Atish Kumar Singh, circle officer (city II).

The police said the boy fell from the rear balcony of his house to the second floor.
