Centre sanctions ₹2,857 cr to Tripura: Biplab Deb
AGARTALA: The Centre has ensured ₹2,587 crore to Tripura for different developmental projects and schemes, said chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb. He said that at least 12,200 employments would be generated in the state in different ways in the coming three years. “The central government is eager to help Tripura in every respect. But they stopped pumping funds to the state for not receiving fund utilisation certificates from the earlier government and also for corruption. After requesting to release all stalled funds, the Centre assured ₹2,587 crore that would be released in phase from next week,” Deb said at the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday.
