PSEB ANNOUNCES FRESH DATES FOR CLASS 10, 12 REEXAMINAT­ION

MOHALI :The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has issued fresh dates of examinatio­ns for Class 10 and 12 board exams that had been cancelled due to widespread cheating.

PSEB secretary Hargunjit Kaur said that these exams will now be conducted from April 17-20 and 15 new centres had been earmarked in Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Gurdaspur. Officials said results willl be declared after these exams and will be delayed.

Sources added that even as cheating at centres was the major reason for the reconduct, there was also a clash of dates with subjects that are offered as combinatio­n to students being scheduled the same day. Students who could not appear in previous exam for ill-health would also be allowed to give these papers, officials said.

CLASS-10 DATESHEET

In the new datesheet for Class 10, on April 17 papers of Maths, Science, Punjabi, Music, Home Science and Agricultur­e are scheduled. On April 18, these students will have exams of English, Tailoring, Stitching and Science. Punjabi A is scheduled for April 19 and Punjabi B is scheduled for April 20.

CLASS-12 DATESHEET

On April 17, the have the exams of General English, Punjabi, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Music, Psychology, Biology and Computer Science. On April 18, the exams that are scheduled are General Punjabi and Sports with Environmen­tal Science to be held on April 19.
